Comments and Opinions

I’ve always been a sports fan, and I enjoy all sports. However, my favorite sport is baseball. I wasn’t big enough to play football or tall enough to play basketball, but I could hit a baseball. I played baseball in high school and college, and some semi-pro ball. I played outfield, catcher, and pitcher. I also did some umpiring.

I grew up in the Los Angeles area and saw many games at Dodger Stadium and Anaheim Stadium, and before the Major Leagues came to California, at old Wrigley Field in Los Angeles and Gilmore Stadium in Hollywood. I also attended USC and UCLA football games at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and when Los Angeles had pro football, the Los Angeles Rams. I attended the very first NFL Pro Bowl game at the Coliseum in 1951.
